Pachirisu is the token “cute electric rodent” of Gen 4, though its colour is mostly white instead of yellow (although I do like the combination of white, blue and yellow). And like the other electric rodents (Pikachu, Pichu, Plusle/Minun), its English name is the same as the Japanese one.
Stat-wise, Pachirisu is fast, characteristic of most Electric types (and electric rodents). It doesn’t have much Attack or Sp. Attack, it has more Defense instead. I think it’s more of a Contest Pokemon than battle Pokemon. Although it does get the Hidden Ability of Volt Absorb.
In the anime, Dawn has a Pachirisu, and it’s rather cute.
