Poochyena, the Bite Pokémon. Poochyena is the pre-evolved form of Mightyena. Its biting strength is superior to other Pokémon, and has the endurance to chase opponents down until completely exhausted.

Poochyena is one of Gen III’s early Pokemon, it’s the only early-found Pokemon (ie Pokemon found on the first accessible route) that’s not Normal, Flying, or Bug type. It’s also the first Dark type Pokemon in Gen III; I find it a bit strange to see a Dark type Pokemon so early.

Stat-wise, Poochyena doesn’t have great base stat total, its highest stat is in Attack.
