Interlocking two bodies and spinning around generates the energy they need to live.
– Pokemon White Pokedex
Klink is the first of Gen V’s pure Steel Pokemon. Its Japanese name is “Giaru”. Its White Pokedex entry suggests that they have to spin in order to live. Its Black Pokedex entry says that the 2 gears are pre-determined, and will bounce off other sets of two. Like many other Pokemon, it seems that even though it’s considered one Pokemon, it has separate and multiple consciousnesses, not sure how that works really. When it evolves, one of the gears becomes bigger. I wonder what determines which gear gets bigger. I like its O.X face though.
In the Pokemon trading game, there are tonnes of Klink cards; there are many versions of it (probably because Black/White only has a few Steel types), and since it’s a common card, there are many of them.
Stat-wise, it has good Defense and Sp Defense, good Attack, but low Speed. In other words, pretty typical of a Steel type I guess.
