#33 Nidorino

1920×1200 | 1920×1080 | 1600×1200

——

Nidorino, the Poison Pin Pokémon. The evolved form of the male Nidoran. Its highly developed horn is extremely powerful.
– Ash’s Pokedex

Nidorino looks purple in recent game sprites, but looked quite pink in older sprites/official art, and in the anime. I always found it odd how Nidorino is pink while Nidorina is blue, I guess I’m used to the idea that girls = pink and boys = blue.

Anyway, Nidorino is 100% male. Though unlike its counterpart Nidorina, it can breed (with Ditto, being male only). I think the result can be either Nidoran(M) or Nidoran(F).

Nidorino is one of the Pokemon in the battle in the opening credits of Red/Blue (and FRLG), the other being Gengar. Though thanks to some posts on Pokememes, I noticed that Nidorino seemed to use tackle on Gengar, which shouldn’t have worked…

Stat-wise, its stats are fairly even, with Attack and Speed being slightly higher.
