Banette is one of the pure Ghosts introduced in Gen III. Based on a discarded doll. Its Pokedex entry is rather ominous (like many Ghost type’s Pokedex entries), saying that it’s seeking the child who threw it away.
Stat-wise, it has high Attack and decent Sp Attack. It’s one of the few Pokemon who learns Grudge by level-up, because it holds a grudge against the child that threw it away.
