Its long, striking legs aren’t just for show but to be used to kick with skill. In victory, it shows off by kicking the defeated, laughing boisterously.
– Pokemon Sun Pokédex
Wow, its Pokedex entry is pretty brutal (that seems to be a trend in the Sun/Moon Pokedexes).
Tsareena feels like gen 7’s version of Lilligant. But whereas Lilligant feels kind of gentle, Tsareena seems more tsundere (in fact, if we changed one letter of its name, we’d get “Tsureena”). In reference to its Pokedex entry, it learns many kicking moves, including its signature move, Trop Kick, which lowers the opponent’s Attack by one stage in addition to dealing damage. I wonder why it’s not part Fighting.
One of its abilities is Queenly Majesty, which is exclusive to it. It prevents opponents on the field from using priority moves. I guess gen 6 was rampant with priority moves with Gale Wings, Prankster, and Sucker Punch everywhere, that gen 7 tried to balance by adding 2 abilities as well as a terrain preventing priority.
